Duvel

This is the beer that started it all. I first had this little quaffer at the Slanted Door. Funny, I discover a Belgian brew in a Vietnamese restaurant in San Francisco. Where else in the world can that happen?! I still recall my first few sips of this brew. It was tasty and the refinement/technique needed to make this drink was apparent to me. Till then, I never experience a beer that was so well done. There must be something in the water there in Belgium. When I try the small craft breweries in the US, it does not compare to the high end Belgium stuff. Prolly Stella Artois is the one brand I don't lust for. Happy drinking!
