OMG, excellent idea about freezing lettuce...does it work really well though? Are you on Food Network all day? I love it!
Yes, it works. It gives it a crispness/coolness to contrast the "hotness" of the burger. Don't leave the lettuce in too long or it'll turn into icicles. Iceberg lettuce is like 80% water or so. That's why it can crisp up really easily. I watch Food Network and PBS for my tips. Haha.
